Welcome

Welcome To My Blog

I'm a paper crafting grammy, who could spend 24-7 in my craft room. My first love is creating greeting cards. I've been doing so for about 14 years. I started when I found a rubber stamp Santa at a local Hallmark store. Then I found Stampin Up. I, accidentally, stumbled into a local Rubber Stamp Store, where I became passionate about paper crafting. Glitter Grammy is what I am. Karen, the owner of Paradise Scrapbook Boutique (http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=3312083&msgid=150701&act=TIEA&c=164589&admin=0&destination=http%3A%2F%2Fparadisescrapbookboutique.typepad.com%2F) teases me concerning my love of shine. To put it mildly, if it's shiny...I love it....

I'm pretty new to Scrapbooking, and found it difficult to move from 4.25x 5.50 to 12x12. I take every class I can and am slowly figuring it out. Finding Scrapbooking introduced me to paper....tons and tons of paper. I'm beginning to feel like a paper quilter....and my stash of "paper fabric" has grown.

I am the queen of gagets. I love, love, love anything Spellbinder. I use my Sizzix Big Shot daily and can't imagine living without it. Last year I purchased a BossKut Gazelle personal die cutter. I love it, though I must say, I do need to sit and learn all that I can do with it. Cuttlebug, Sizzix and Fiskars embossing folders and plates are wonderful. A friend and I joke that if someone gave us two sticks and a rubber band and showed us one way to use it....we'd purchase 4 of them....

If I had to choose four crafting items I couldn't live without, it would be my Fiskar's paper cutter, my C-Thru metal edge ruler and X-acto knife and my Glue-Baste It white glue. You'd have to fight me to take my other toys away, but, with those items I could craft.

I tell myself every day that I don't need to purchase another thing....and then I read blogs, look through magazines, and visit my favorite stores, both mortar and web....and I'm off to shopping all over again.

My goal here is to show my work and to show the work of others. Since this blog buisiness is so new to me....I will apologize, in advance, for any screw-ups I do....I hope you come by often, and I hope I have new things to share with you....
