Birthday Girl

A friend, Weight Watcher buddy and SOS member is having a birthday....and, she doesn't have a computer, so there is no worry that she will see this card before Thursday! Mary Jane has the best sense of humor....at least I hope so! I've been wanting to make a card with movement for quite some time. I don't know where the pattern came from, maybe one of those half sleeping revelations....I've seen the movement done with pennies, but I find them heavy and I had an awful time keeping them in the groove. The pennies do allow the graphic to spin...that's the advantage. This graphic doesn't spin, but she smoothly moves across the card in her little VW.

The stamp set is from Gina K Designs, and I really like this set. Who could not love this ole couple. Hmmmmm kind of reminds me of some one(s) I know..... I water colored the image using Tombow markers. I sponged the background using Tim Holtz Distress Ink and of course she was framed using my newest Spellbinder Label die.
This card was lots of fun to make. It's a bit plain and as I type this blog...I'm thinking maybe a few Dew Drops or something sparkly.....but for now....I'm happy. I can hardly wait to give it to Mary Jane.
Have a wonderful week!
