Rainy Day Play

Don't you just love rainy days? A great time to craft and not feel like you should be doing something else. We've had so much rain this year, I'm honestly looking for a reason not to craft. Living in California, June is usually warm and dry. This year....wet and cold. I know, in a few weeks we'll be complaining about how hot it is. But for's craft day. Last week I saw a card made by Becca. I have the Martha Stewart punch, so I thought, it'd be fun to try out the technique. While talking to Brenda, we talked about what we'd do when we had our next play day. Becca's project won. I thought I'd give it a run through before the play day. The above is what I created. Check out Becca's blog page to see her beautiful card. If you have this punch....try making a card. It really wasn't all that difficult.....Most of her cards are way above my ability....but this one....was fun. Since I am directionally challenged...I cut one side, I then laid the second piece at a 90 degree angle so I'd know which direction I needed to make the next cut.
I'm off to clean up my mess. Have a great week. I hope the sun is shining where you are.

  1. My gorgeous is this?!!! I'd say you've done Becca proud for sure. I have that punch...hmmmm, maybe I'll get it out after vacation.

So happy your PIF arrived and that you found some fun things in it to play with.

    Happy Monday!

Thank you for spending time visiting my blog. And thank you even more for your comments. I LOVE reading each and every one of them. Happy creating!
