I Am Thankful For You and Spectrum Noir Challenge

A quick post wishing everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I am so very thankful for you.  This little Beatrix Potter Rubber stamp reminded me of how thankful I am to have my group of buddies.  We laugh together, cry together, support one another and create together.  You all make my life so much fun!

I used my Spectrum Noir pens to color this sweet image.  I'm happy with how it turned out.  So happy in fact, I'm going to enter it to the Spectrum Noir Challenge. Check out what the others are doing here

And these are the colors I used:
Off I go for now, Happy Thanksgiving!

  2. You did such a lovely job with these.
The card is just so sweet! Love that image. I really like how you sort of outlined the clothes so it looks like watercolours...did you flood it with a blending pen...Will the copic blending pen i bought her sork for this?
I don't own any and have never used them but just bought my 6 yr old grandaughter several sets for one of her Christmas presents. she has a few copic I bought her for her birthday . I paid more for those few copics than I paid for all the sets i bought for Christmas.
I got them at JoAnn's on Black Friday at 6 am. They were $7.50 a set!
    I don't know if I get the 30& off as well...I think I did cuz I used a Michael's coupon.

    1. Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I did use a blender to flood the color. It's the first time I've done this. I normally would use a dark color, then blend with a ligher and then lighter color, but I wanted to leave a lot of white space. I'm loving these markers and I put off purchasing them for years because I didn't want to spend so much money for one pen. You got a great price. My granddaughter is 6 also. I thought about getting her the pens, but decided against it because they are permanent and if the covers are left off they will dry up quickly. They are something on my gift list for later. She lives in Australia, so I can't be there to supervise the use and care. That's the most sad part. She loves to craft and we could play all day together.

  4. Hi Mary, it's two weeks since you posted this beauty and nothing since which is really unusual. Hope all is well honey - we miss you in the Playground, there's mulled wine, egg nog, roast chestnuts and also auditions for a Christmas play the girls are putting on. I know, I know - I just finally gave in...........and there's a donkey wandering round somewhere too.

    Love, Di xx

    1. Hi Di, The computer Gods must be angry. This is reply # 3... let's hope it's a charm. Nope, I'm wonderful, but thank you for your concern. It's been so busy here, I've been chasing my tail for the past 2 weeks. I do have something to post, and maybe I'll get to it in a minute. Had a big Thanksgiving dinner, followed by my husband going south to spend some time with his son. I had big plans to actually get lots done while he was gone, however, Mother Nature had other plans. She must have been pretty upset because she threw quite a tantrum. The wind howled, the rain pelted our roof and we were without power for a bit, so the puppies and I cuddled and I did some reading on my ipad while they slept. Then, I realized I am many Christmas cards short and a friend and I created like wild women. Still not enough. Then there was shopping with the girls, more creating and still behind. I promise I will post soon and I'll hop on over to the playground. A donkey, what's a donkey doing on the playground. I hope it hasn't found the lettuce I planted behind the potting shed. Chestnuts, I was hoping someone would have them. I've never had them and I always wanted to. I hope there are a few left. I'd be willing to bet a little elf spiked the egg nog. Any guesses who? Christmas play. Any parts still open? Please not a singing part...we don't want anyone running away! I'll be over to visit the playground in a few..
