Happy Third Anniversary to Julia and Stamping Ground!

Though it may not look like I've been busy...I have been, however, I can't show most of what I've been doing.  I'm working on Amy and Linn's Wedding Card.  I've made my ATC exchange cards for What's On Your Workdesk Third Anniversary Challenge.  If you haven't been following Julia...check it out.  This week, it's the ATC exchange and I'm looking forward to playing along.  I hope you join in too.  It's easy and I know it will be fun, fun, fun.  Congrats Julia on this your Third Anniversary.  It's been fun following Julia and I wish her many, many more great blogging years!
I don't normally bring flowers inside.  I love looking at them in the garden.  The rain we've had hasn't been kind to the peony bushes, I saved a few of each so, I thought I would share.

Here's my animal for the week.  For the past 3 days, this squirrel  has been visiting the same spot on our deck.  For unknown reasons, he or she is gnawing on the bottom rail.  Any ideas what might be on this piece of wood?
Every day we fill the squirrel feeder with peanuts and sunflower seeds.  There is no reason why this little one should be eating our deck!

Off I go for today.  I'm hoping to get a few more cards made before I leave for Colorado and then Illinois.....so, until next time.....Have a craft filled week.

Hugs

  1. That squirrel looks really blue. You're getting one of my ATCs just because. Can't wait to see those wedding cards when they are done.

  7. Maybe his teeth are too sharp and he is grinding them down? lol I use to use the rain forecast as an excuse to cut almost all the peonies and bring them onto the porch, never inside though as I wasn't very good at getting all the bugs out of them! They are beautiful! I hope you are having a great WOYWW day and hopefully you will show a picture of all the ATC's, that would be great fun to see! waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

  8. Our squirrels just upset the bird feeders. maybe you spilled a nut shake on there!

  9. I know rodents just like to gnaw, so maybe that is it, but since he is going after the same place maybe someone spilled something yummy there like a sugared drink. Nice looking desk even with the hidden bits.

  10. Happy WOYWW!
Lovely peonies there and aren't you lucky having a variety of colours! We have the darker ones and they have been fabulous and the beauty of ours is that we never planted them. We had some soil from my Mum-in-Law's front garden as she was levelling the front garden off and I guess they were in the soil!
As for the squirrel, I have no idea. We suddenly have woodpeckers eating out of our bird feeders which I tend to concentrate on when on the wii in the morning!
Looking forward to receiving my ATC!

  11. Hettie,

I mis-spelled your name...geez! So I removed the comment...so, let's try this again. I put your ATC in the mail. By 4:00 PM, it will be finding it's way to your home. Let me know when you get it...Have a great week!

  12. Ah...who can know the mind of a rodent? I have a chinchilla, and he has an awesome cage full of toys and chew things. BUT if I push his cage too close to a shelf (made of boring particle board) he'll gnaw on it. There must just be something good about chewing on what you're not supposed to. :) Thanks for sharing! Happy WOYWW!

  15. Your peonies are just gorgeous - I'd love to grow some but they don't seem to like me, well my garden, for some reason. How exciting to be going off to Colorado and Illinois - don't suppose you have room for a little one in your suitcase :) You have an eccentric squirrel, methinks, do you think he is teething :)) Too late to wish you a happy WOYWW so instead I'll wish you a great holiday weekend. 16. I agree with Sandee, maybe the wood just there is perfect for keeping teeth shorter?

Sorry to be so late getting round this week - the Queen's Jubilee got in the way!

    Happy WOYWW!
