Kissed By The Sun

This will be a really short post.  I made my first card using this format and posted it on Monday.  I enjoyed this format so much I've made another and I have an idea for yet another card that I will make before Christmas and share on the Sparkles Christmas Challenge.

This card was made using the Graphic45 Sun Kissed Collection.  Fussy cutting and stickers decorated this card.  I love how summery this card is and the beach is where I'd like to be in all this California heat.

Here's what the outside looks like....

This format is like a party in a card.  I love it!

As promised, this is a short post....time to get  busy cleaning house before it gets too hot.

Until later,
Hugs from my world to yours....

I'm Doing a Case Card....

Today I'm doing a TOTAL case card....
If you recognize this card, you already are a fan of my favorite card designer.  A few years back, Pam and I were on the PoppyStamp design team.  I fell in love with her work then and have been following her ever since.  FYI:  Her beautiful work is a reflection of what a beautiful person she is.  You can find Pam Here.  I hope you take a minute to peek around her page.

I think Pam's card is a slightly larger format.  Mine is 5 1/2  x 4 1/4.  All the dies and stamps are from the new PoppyStamp collection, and if you go to the link above you can see all the great new dies in this collection.  I've had this sticker paper for a long time.  I have no idea where it came from or when, but I do know it is old...really old.  The paper is bluish and in the sun it picks up tons of color.  My trees were cut once on a piece of scrap and used it as a stencil to put a bit of tree color onto the "Joy" frame.  I then cut the trees two more times and loosely glued them to the paper.  I wanted dimension so when I say loosely, I mean it.  I added  gold Stickle to the trees and snow.  I know it looks blue, but trust me it's gold.  I stamped a sentiment, added a bit of bling to the center of the snowflake and the front of this card is finished.

You know me and how I repeat things on the inside....

I used another snowflake and another sentiment from the same stamp set.  The word Joy is part of that set and so is the die to cut it out.

I REALLY, REALLY want you to check out Pam's blog and I hope you check out the PoppyStamp  blog page. there is much inspiration in both places.

Until next time....Hugs from my world to yours.....

Birthday Wishes

My buddy Virginia brought this format to me.  Sorry the photos don't do justice to this layout.  The outside, opens to a pretty surprise.

I love this paper, it is Mintay by Karola the collection is 7th Heaven.  The papers are from Poland and since I am Polish (and a few other things) I was drawn to this collection.  The flowers and butterflies were fussy cut, the inside die used on the side panels is Tsssatina Border 98302  by Memory Box the sentiment is from Close To My Heart - Card Chatter - Birthday D1475, and the four corner dies are from DieNamics.  I'm sorry I don't know the number.  They are quite old.

Virginia saw the format for this card on Heartfelt Creations.  I'm sorry I don't have a link to it.  It was called an Imperial Card.  I'm sure there are several by other names.  This base is super easy to cut and the panels are easy to cut they are all rectangles....

Well, that's it for today.  I wanted to share this layout because I love it.  I am working on another using the SunKissed paper from Graphic45.  That just might be my next post.

Off to clean up one mess and start on another.

Krafty Christmas at Sparkles Christmas Challenge

This month we celebrate our Krafty walk to Christmas with a card theme that Caz chose for the Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  Caz picked the theme...."A Krafty Christmas" and it must feature Kraft cardstock.

I started by coloring my snow family - Hero Arts H099 - Snowpeople Border.  I colored this image using a gift from a fellow crafter, actually artist Jodi Martinez.  She is the queen of Instagram @jodiathome, and her FaceBook page is Jodi At Home.  The pens she gifted me are Chameleon and I must say, they are easy to use and fun too.  They come with instruction and a code so you can see videos of the pens in action.  Thank you Jodi, it was nice meeting you in person....finally! Please check out Jodi's work, it is amazing!  Here's a sample of Jodi's work....for more you are going to have to go to her FaceBook page or to instagram using the info above....

Here's more on what I did to make this card.  I made the sky background on my computer using PrintShop and glued this piece to a slightly larger piece of glitter cardstock.    I fussy cut my snow family and glued it only to the bottom of the sky background.

I wrapped a piece of Kraft cardstock in glittery tulle, wrapped a piece of ribbon around the card, and added a metal snowflake.  I then  mounted it to the card base and glued my graphic piece to it.

My Merry Christmas sentiment is Stampabilities.  I mounted the sentiment to another piece of glitter cardstock and I slid it partly behind one of the snow people.  That's pretty much it for the front of the card.

Now, on to the inside:

As always, my inside is a bit of a repeat of the outside.  This stamp is Stampendous - M011 - Christmas Wish.

Note:  most of my stamps are quite old, as I've been collecting them for years.  I always try to list the stamps I use.  I know that many are retired, but I often still find them on line,  I know they are at  times available if you want to take time to look.

I'm sending wishes for a most crafty month.  I hope you will enter your creations with Sparkles Christmas Challenge.  I'll be looking for them!

Until next time, hugs from my world to yours.
