A Thank You Card for a Special Lady

Hello and Happy Monday.  The sun is shining here in beautiful Dixon Illinois, but it is cold and getting colder.  A perfect day to stay inside and play with paper.  I'm entering this card in this week's Pixie's Crafty Workshop 371.  With the exception of the papers I used, everything is a snippet.  And more importantly, everything I've used was gifted to me by all of you!  So again...thank You!

This will be a very short post.  I am hoping to try to figure out the comment problem I am having.  I'm just hoping that when I do I don't screw something else up!  Maybe I should just wait for my daughter to visit.  I will admit it, I am computer challenged and getting more so every day.  Is it age?  I got a shock last week.  My daughter used a Senior Citizen discount....How can that be?  She said the business considered 55 to be the allowable age.  Even so, how can I have children that old?  I think she must be lying about her age!

Well, off I go.  There must be some sort of trouble I can get into today!

Hugs from my world to yours!

  1. Wow! Such amazing card, so feminine, elegant and sweet!
Love that piano diecut, and I'm sure that Di will be moved seeing it :) How gorgeous is that triple butterfly, it looks delightful on the tag!
My age is nearly your daughter's one and I think that "old" isn't the right word... :) We are a bit vintage, how cool is it? LOL :D

  2. That would be a shock! lol.... A daughter eligible for a senior discount should qualify you for Double Discount...just to make up for the jarring reality of it all. :) I'm not quite there....yet!

What a lovely card, Mary. I adore the piano die from Di and the delicious papers you used. Your design is esp pretty with the pink die cut background for the tag and butterfly. Love that you decorated the inside, too!

  3. Oh what a beautiful card Mary - and i see you have used "that piano die" - how wonderful! I know what you are meaning about computers - mine won't let me comment on the Playground today... only that one, no others - maybe the 'net is having a bad day! Thankfully I have a year or two to go before I have a 'senior' in the family...

  7. Wow Mary what a stunning card this is. I'm totally thrilled to see you using your piano die - even if it travelled around the USA before reaching you :) This is a perfect example of why we needed to get you crafting again - and as Sarn says ,pink is my favourite colour.

    Love and hugs

    Di xx

  8. I'm not surprised that Di was able to locate this wonderful die for you and place it in your hands! What a gorgeous card you've made and with those pretty snippets of paper! I hope you can sort out those commenting issues - I still struggle with this windows 10 - it's all new to me and I find it confusing on a daily basis!

  10. This is a beautiful card Mary! I love the piano keys die, love how you made pocket and tucked a beautiful tag in it too. Your papers are so beautiful too. The lacy die at the top right is so pretty. I will have to keep this design idea tucked away in my mind....well for on the days I have a mind! lol Yes, some business say you are a senior citizen at 55 and I remember well when I was at a business that was like that. I told my late husband that I am a senior citizen now. lol I was excited, not so much now! Glad you were able to play at the Playground Mary!!! Big hugs, Brenda
