So, here it is. I like it and it was pretty easy to make....One more down....and only a zillion left to make...well maybe not a zillion!
Aren't these two cute? They are strays that we've been trying to tame for months. I think they are brother and sister. They are always together and if you ignore the fact that one is long haired and one short haired, their faces are very similar. The two sleep together, eat together and play together. It's so sweet to see the two of them as pals. I can't imagine them being separated...
We've given them very original names....are you ready....the long haired one is Kitty. The short haired one is Kitty kitty. I told you they are original names... :-) After months of feeding them canned and dry cat food - twice a day mind you... and fresh water twice a day, and my DH making a soft chair on the porch for them to rest, and an enclosed and insulated box for winter....they have decided that maybe we are worth knowing. Kitty walked into the house this morning... and Kitty Kitty finally let me touch her while putting her food bowl down. I think we are making progress... Kitty has warmed up to us and about knocks us over when we go out to feed him. Kitty Kitty is very shy. Kitty Kitty has a bobbed ear. If I am correct, that means she has been spayed. Kitty doesn't spray and there are parts missing....know what I mean? I'm hoping that means he's been neutered. Does anyone know if I'm on the right track?
I guess I should get back to it and clean up one mess before starting another. Have a wonderful week...see you next Wednesday.
Hugs to all,
Mary AKA: Glitter Grammy
loved the card!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm having a quick trip round the WOYWWers before I start on my next batch of little African dresses. It's good to see what you're busy with this week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Darling little pals you have there! Super awesome Christmas card!
ReplyDeleteLove that folded card ...what a beautiful design. As for the cats ...well done you ...I dont think it will be too long before they are really friendly ...maybe not quite ready to be picked up ...but maybe they will settle on a knee. I dont know about the bobbed ear but it sounds as though Kitty might well be neutered. I think they are siblings ...we have twice, over the years, had a long haired yet others in the litter and parents were short haired.
ReplyDeleteMary, that card is lovely. I like the idea of your family room having a tree with hummingbirds right outside, lovely. Can't help with the Kitties..absolutely no experience...but other swill, for sure!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome Christmas card! I love your Kitty and Kitty Kitty! I think if Kitty doesn't have what my husband calls backup lights then he might be neutered but there are instanced where the backup lights don't descend too. I don't know about the bobbed ear and spaying. Only way to tell is get them in to a vet who can tell you. They are so cute. KK looks like my calico. Such sweet faces. Have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie
ReplyDeleteI love flip cards - everyone goes "Oooh wow" when they open them as they are so unexpected! You're doing a great job with them. Love your beautiful kitties too! And I'm so envious that you've got hummingbirds to watch. Here in the UK I enjoy watching our bluetits, robins and bullfinches!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't look easy to make! What a clean desk!
ReplyDeleteMy friend says that cats choose their owners, not the other way around. I think you and DH have been chosen! Lovely Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW
Love your two adopted pets. We feed the cats from the next house along when they are on holiday but now they come almost every day for "extra" food when the family are still at home. Both timid though like your two and we've been feeding them about 3-4 years now. Persevere.
ReplyDeleteNice C Card too.
Thanks for sharing- Neet #19
I see you have an Ott light--they sure help! Your kitties are adorable, and the bobbed ear does mean neutering has been done. My two are littermates also, and are lots of fun to have around, both indoors and out. They follow us everywhere. Your Christmas card is beautiful.
