Here's what I've been working on. Karen is going to say I'm too prepared, but in fact....I'm trying to get ahead as I'll be spending some great time with my daughter Amy in April, and then my best buddy and I are going to take a month to travel half way across the US to get to Amy's wedding, visit family and see all the sights that our husbands groan at when we ask to stop....hey the biggest ball of twine is on my bucket list! I wonder where it is! I hope it's somewhere on I-80!
So, the above photo is my March class. The class will be making one of the cards, but the kit will contain two sentiments so they can choose which one to make. I really had a good time making this card. I love BoBunny card stock and this card is made using the Cotton Tail collection.
Now let's back up and see what my desk looked like....ok, maybe it was a bit more messy, this is what it looked like when I was putting the kit, in the first photo- left side, together.
Backing up a bit more....here's what my prep area looked like as I was cutting the kits I think this card has about 30 pieces.....
So here they are...all packed up and ready. Ten kits, that's how many openings there will be. I know this class will fill up quickly....so a hint to my regular craft buddies....sign up early.
So, that's my desk for today.....I'm headed over to my favorite Wednesday blog and link this to Stamping-Ground. I hope you have a few minutes to check out what everyone has been up too. I've had a very productive card week. I've got to say...Julia keeps me focused!
Have a great week....see you next Wednesday....
Hugs,
Glitter Grammy

ReplyDeleteHave a fab WOYWW and a great week, Karen #108
Being prepared is good, now you'll have peace of mind! Have a super week!
ReplyDeleteSo a road trip is in your future! I grew up in San Joaquin County and the family would do a road trip to Alabama to visit grandparents. We were always begging Dad to stop at Stuckeys! Too bad they are no longer.
ReplyDeleteYour card looks great!! Thanks for sharing your desk with us.
Hugs,
Kay
Love your card and your desk is too clean when you are making up kits, my desk was really bad when I made up kits last week

I didn't show the spot where I cut all the pieces, they were cut on Monday. You just got to see the organized finished pieces before I packaged them. The desk shot is the area where I was putting the Birthday kit together to show everyone what another option is.
DeleteLove those cards, the butterflys are stunning, your desk is so neat & tidy, Have a great week, Hugs May x x x
ReplyDeleteSounds like it will be a wonderful trip great cards xLoux
ReplyDeleteOK, had to look up the biggest ball of twine information, curosity just gets the best of me sometimes, so here it is: http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2128 Hope you have tons of fun on your trip! waving hi from the hills of NC :)
ReplyDeleteSandee....I went to the site and found that the one in Wisconsin is 450 miles away from where I'll be. Oddly, I lived in WI for 20 plus years and never knew the ball of twine was there... Not only that....there are 5 total balls of twine in this country....who knew! Well, you did. Thanks for sharing. Let's hope we get on the Millionaire game and it's the top question! Have a great day.... :-)

Beautiful cards. I'm sure all the places on the class will disappear fast. x

ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd have the patience to make up kits - you seem to have a good system for it.
