My incentive for this card is the Rudolph Day Challenge. This is a great way to get a Christmas card made and have fun doing so. Check out this challenge over at Stamping For Pleasure. Sarn hosts this blog and she'd love it if you played along. You have from the 25th of the month until the last day of the month to get your card made and linked to Stamping For Pleasure. I hope after you check out Sarn's blog, you'll want to play along too.
Today I was very productive. Amazing...no? A friend came to play and I decided to work on things that have been sitting on my desk for way too long. This card started as a House Mouse stamped image that has been partly colored for over a month. Today I finished coloring the mouse and wanted to put the image on a 1/4 fold card. Well guess what, it didn't fit. It was time to think outside the box and I did. The candy canes on the inside of the card originally were on the left side of the stamped image. I cut it off and it became part of the inside of the card and I added the sentiment. Wonder why there are red snowflakes? Under one of them is a smudge....normally I would have used a butterfly, but how would that look with Christmas? I fussy cut the image on the front of the card and raised it, framed it and you can guess the rest. This was a fun card to make and making it with a friend while we laughed and chatted made this craft day all the more fun.
I'm off to photograph the other cards I made today. I hope to get them posted shortly. Until later, happy crafting and I'll see you soon.
Hugs,
